Do you have a problem with institutional knowledge? Whether or not you are aware of it, your team is gaining and losing institutional knowledge at a rapid pace. As other organizational divisions change and members of your team retire or move on to other jobs, your team's collective knowledge is like a leaky dam. Without a strategy to seal the leaks, you will soon find yourself holding onto misinformation or have no knowledge at all. In this presentation, we'll cover the transience of institutional knowledge, effective strategies for managing that knowledge, and the solutions the VCU IT Support Center explored and implemented for success.
