In July of 2019 Microsoft announced that Skype for Business Online will retire on July 31, 2019. For Old Dominion University Skype for Business is available today to faculty and staff, and is primarily used as a chat, IM, and presence application as part of our Office 365. Microsoft Teams, which is Microsoft's replacement for Skype, presents many new opportunities for collaboration as well as many challenges in managing these new capabilities. During this presentation we will go over our migration plan to take ODU to Teams, as well as our plan for group management, Teams governance and user communication.
